1. What is the BeVera Corps Network?

The BeVera Corps Network is a reserve of public health and IT professionals who have agreed to support the CDC in emergencies by providing rapid, specialized assistance for short-term deployments.
2. ​Who can join the BeVera Corps Network?

Public Health, IT and Management professionals with relevant experience, including professors, retirees, students, and individuals who are currently employed but have the flexibility to support a short-term deployments.
3. What types of roles or responsibilities will I have?

Members may support tasks in epidemiology, health communications, IT, behavioral science, logistics, or other public health services, depending on the emergency’s needs.
4. How will deployments work?

Members will be contacted when a deployment opportunity matches their specific skill set. Members are not required to deploy if they are not available. Deployments will last 10–60 days. Travel and lodging are arranged by BeVera, and assignments are based on a member's location and expertise. Some assignments will allow members to work from home. Details of the assignment will be provided during the initial outreach for availability.
5. Will I need approval from my current employer to join?

To maintain trust and transparency, we ask that you obtain approval from your employer prior to deployment. We will only request verification of employer approval when you have confirmed your availability for an assignment. You do not need employer's approval to signup or to review opportunities.
6. What compensation and benefits are provided?

Members receive competitive pay at or above their current salary, with potential benefits tailored to each deployment’s duration and location.
7. How is training handled for network members?

Training will be provided prior to deployment to ensure alignment with response protocols and the specific tasks of the assignment.
8. What types of emergencies will I respond to?

Members may be activated for infectious disease outbreaks, natural disasters, or other public health crises requiring specialized support.
9. Is there a minimum or maximum commitment?

Members will assess each opportunity to determine if they can support the minimum commitment for the specific requirement. Most opportunities will have a minimum commitment of 10 business days. There are no maximum number of days or number of deployments a member can support.
10. Will I receive any equipment for my role?

Yes, BeVera provides necessary equipment, such as laptops, to ensure members are fully equipped for their assignments.
11. Are there risks involved in deployments?

While public health deployments carry some risks, BeVera and the CDC prioritize member safety with comprehensive protocols and support measures.
12. How does BeVera coordinate with "partner" companies in the network?

BeVera has aligned with other companies that have agreed to support the network. These companies share information about eligible employees, and participate in the evaluation of available opportunities. When a partner company provides a resource to meet the requirement, BeVera compensates the company directly.
13. What happens if I cannot deploy when called upon?

If unavailable, simply notify us; members have flexibility, and your inability to support an opportunity won’t impact your eligibility of being notified for future opportunities.
14. How do I get started?
